Well, we don’t have very long to go now, the time has flown by so fast!

Last weekend we had a flurry of appointments, all (well, mostly!) wedding related. Saturday was a hair cut for me, then our ‘Pre Ceremony Photo Shoot’ with our wonderful photographers, Studio Cru. Then on Sunday I managed to fail (yet another) driving test due to excessive nerves.. and had my hair trial which perked me up a lot!

The photo shoot was great fun, the photographer taught us how to do several relaxed poses, how to look into each others eyes, etc – even how to kiss for the camera! As you can imagine, we just fell about giggling the whole time . The photos are great though – I wanted them all! It was very hard to pick just two – one for a portrait for our house, and the other for the ‘memory board’ we are having at the wedding.

My hair trial was equally fun. Lisa, the hair stylist, is really lovely – and very good! She whipped my long locks into submission in just over an hour, and convinced me that I have to have a tiara for the wedding!

Another day down, 99 more to go! That just reminds me of ice cream, not that it’s been the weather for summer treats lately!

Today I’ve been sorting out some last details for the wedding, double checking that the dj is booked, updating our contact details with people, that kind of thing. A flurry of emails checking details and asking questions. It’s getting close now, just 3 months next Friday. This past year has gone by so fast. We’re off to do some shopping next week sometime, need some bits & pieces for the favours. Not a sugared almond in sight!

Good news – our beloved (& spoilt) dog will be at our wedding – not for the ceremony mind! I checked with the hotel today and they are happy to have her stay too, yay! We want some photos with our 3rd family member! Hompom is settling into the new house well, and enjoys ‘her’ garden.

We’re going to Wales tomorrow to visit Nana & Poppa, which will be fun. It will be the first time they’ve met James!

Well, since the wedding is so close I think I should post an update here! Only 100 days to go.. then James & I will be getting married! It’s come around quickly, we’ve been engaged for over a year now, and that year as absolutely flown by.

Wedding planning is going well, we’re down to choosing the details.. how to decorate the tables, what music we should have (though we’ve picked our first dance & it is typically me!), etc etc. We have sent out our first batch of invitations, to our family – and we’ll be sorting out the rest in the next few weeks. I have to say that James’s side of the family is beating mine at RSVP-ing – please let us know whether you will be able to attend as soon as you can.

Things have been put on hold temporarily over August, as James & I have moved into our first house together. We haven’t been able to take out a mortgage (credit crunch!), but it’s lovely to have a house all to ourselves, with a garden and everything! We’re settling in now and so the wedding planning things will come out and continue on, not that we’re entirely unpacked yet!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the wedding & are so glad that we will be able to share our special day with so many family & friends. The big day is approaching very fast now!

So, we’ve finally got our news part of this website set up! We’re working on the photo gallery and other parts still, but it’s getting there. It’ might even be finished by the time we get married, !
